Brady’s Van

This is Brady. And this is Brady’s Van.

We asked Brady if he was excited for his new van, and he threw his arms up in the air and couldn’t stop smiling!

Rick and Becky, Brady’s parents, have been searching for a van that will be wheelchair accessible, has more room and will be suited to all of Brady’s needs. After a lot of searching, the family decided that what is currently available in regards to wheelchair accessible vans didn’t fit what they were looking for. So, they turned to Mercedes-Benz of Fort Mitchell, and our Mercedes-Benz Sprinter department.

After working with Sprinter Specialist, Dan Tilley, Rick and Becky purchased a 2014 Sprinter Van for Brady. Sprinter vans offer at least twice the room as a standard wheelchair accessible van, which is often a revived mini-van. Inside there will be more room for Brady’s parents to move around, in order to make sure he’s comfortable and his wheelchair is securely in place.

The Sprinter is currently at a company called M.C. Mobility Systems, Inc. Here, it is being outfitted with a wheelchair lift to create a custom van: Brady’s Van. It will even have a DVD player so that Brady can enjoy his favorite Elmo videos while traveling!

Our vision is to be a place of delight for our customers, and we think the smile on Brady’s face says it all, but we hope Brady, Rick and Becky know what a delight it was for us to be able to help them!

When people think of Mercedes-Benz their first thought isn’t usually of a van. For many, luxury sports cars will always come to mind first. But for some, we hope that our Sprinters will be the first thought- especially when it comes to wheelchair accessible vans.
